Black Iron Mjolnir

Wear the hammer of Thor...

It is said in the Norse Prose that when you listen to the crash of thunder in a storm you are hearing the blows of Thor’s mighty hammer Mjolnir. Blacksmiths have been forging these pendants for millennia.

Forged to the same methods the vikings of old used, this Mjolnir will last just as long. The only tools I use are heat, a hammer and years of experience.

Features a twisted handle and traditional beeswax finish with an adjustable length cord.

Forged as a weapon to protect the Gods from the Giants, Mjolnir was also used to bless the lives of people, especially at important events such as Births, Marriages and Deaths, but also in more day to day activities such as Feasting, Travelling and the Swearing of Oaths. In this way it was used both as a symbol of the power of the storm and also to provide security and protection against Chaos.

Today Mjolnirs are worn as a sign of respect for the old times, to show a love of Norse mythology and to protect the wearer especially on journeys.
